How much should a Cockapoo eat?
A typical adult Cockapoo weighs 6 to 11kg (they vary a lot). We use the standard vet formula: resting energy (70 × weight in kg to the power 0.75), times a life-stage factor for your dog, divided by the 3,600 kcal in each kilo of our kibble. For most adults the factor sits between 1.4 (neutered, not very active) and 1.8 (entire and busy).
| Adult weight | Quieter (×1.4) | Typical (×1.6) | Busy (×1.8) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6kg | 105g | 120g | 135g |
| 8kg | 130g | 150g | 165g |
| 11kg | 165g | 190g | 210g |
That's grams of dry food a day, split over two meals. For an 8kg Cockapoo on Canny Chicken, the quiz shows the exact cost per day from the Founding 100 price, before you give us any details. Treats count: if yours gets a lot, the quiz takes them off the bowl.
Which recipe suits a Cockapoo?
Canny Chicken suits most adult Cockapoos. If yours has a sensitive tummy, or doesn't get on with chicken, Gentle Lamb is the swap, and our Clean Bowl Guarantee means the swap is free if the first recipe doesn't suit. Puppies go on Little 'Un until 12 months, and we re-work the portion every month as they grow.

Cockapoo questions
How much should a Cockapoo eat?
An 8kg adult needs roughly 130g to 165g a day of our kibble. A 6kg one is nearer 120g. The quiz gives you the exact figure for yours.
2kg or 6kg bag?
At 150g a day a 6kg bag lasts about six weeks. Many Cockapoo owners prefer a 2kg bag every two weeks so it stays fresh; we'll suggest the gap.
My Cockapoo is fussy. Will they eat it?
If they don't, tell us. The Clean Bowl Guarantee swaps the recipe free and we take the bag away.
